Last night was Seans first dose of his meds for his hyperactivity. I have read a few blogs about this medicine and I am cautiously optimistic. Different people have had their kids on this medicine for different issues. It appears that those who have had their kids just on Tenex for the hyperactivity and on approximately the same dosage as Sean are seeing great results. The problems I saw were when the kids were on multiple medications for mulitple issues and when their children had things like ODD, OCD, and severe ADHD. I guess only time will tell. He seemed to tolerate it well. He is so funny, he couldnt swallow the pill (only because he is not used to swallowing pills) so before I could even suggest crushing it and putting it in something to help he had chewed it up and swallowed it. Crazy kid! He said it didnt taste bad, I guess thats a good thing. They told me that we are going to give him 1mg a night for the first 5 days and then we are going to up it to 1 mg at night and 1/2mg in the morning and see how that goes, if after 5 days we are not noticing an improvement then we will go to 1mg at night and 1mg in the morning. His doctor thinks that will be a good dose for him, but we are hoping that the 1 and 1/2 will work. Anyway, I know he told me that we wouldnt notice anything for a couple days, but he seemed to sleep more restful last night. He has had a little bit of a cough for the last couple days and was sleeping very restless. Last night he seemed to fall asleep a little quicker once his head hit the pillow and I didnt notice him coughing as much in his sleep. When I went in to check on him he is usually all over the place tossing and turning in his sleep, he was very rested and didnt move much. Hopefully those are all good signs. Like I said, only time will tell. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and we will keep you updated.
Love ya XOXOXOXOX

I have to tell you a funny story..Friday morning when I went through the doors into the big room he was sitting at the table in the front eating breakfast and I commented to him that he and his sister "were the quietest kids in the front"...to that he gave me his cute look and Winked at me!!!
I thought it was soooo sweet!
Have a great weekend:)
