This is the first drum demo that we caught. She was showing us how there were many different kinds of drums in many different sizes and how different they all sound. Sorry that the sound was bad, we were in a little room, and there was a lot of background noise and I was taking it on my phone : ) But that gives you and idea of the fun we had.
These were the frog drums, they were FUN. They were all shaped like little frogs, in many different sizes. They had ridges on their backs and you run a wooden stick up and down them, there were 8 of them and she let the kids come up and help her play them all at once. Our kids were too chicken to go up, but its all good. It was still cool to hear. Again, the sound is not all that great, but if you were in the room it sounded like a pond full of croaking frogs. It was AMAZING.
And last but not least, here was Seans Volcano. After we got done with the drums we got Lexi a library card and hung out for a few minutes in the kid section and then we rushed to pick Sean up and rushed back. Lexi couldnt wait to show him the library (and get him his own card, he wasnt allowed to use hers....LOL), but he couldnt wait to show her the volcano either. So we put the volcano in the dirt of the parking lot and let him show her before we went into the library. It was cute to see her reaction and how excited he was to do it. They put red food die in the bottom of it so that the lava would come out red, it was more pink, but it was cute.
