My poor little bugger boy. Today was just a rough day for him physically. He wasnt feeling good this morning (he has had a tummy ache) and I made him buck it up and go to school anyway because he wasnt running a fever, no throwing up or diarrhea, and he wasnt contagious. So, they have P.E. on Tuesdays and they have been working on running laps (I am sure that you can see where this is going). So my poor precious little one decides that it would be smart to put his arms in his sleeves and run his laps like that to be silly of course, he quickly learned #1 that arms are made for balance and when you take that balance away it doesnt make running very easy and #2 dont ever fight with pavement because it will always win. I was sitting up at my desk in the front office talking to their teacher and all of a sudden I hear screaming and crying and I knew right away who it was, I recognized the cry. His teacher looks at me and I said "uh oh, what now". When he came through the door she was suprised that I had known from his cry that it was him. He was covered in blood and the little friend that brought him up said he had busted his lip open. That was not the case. Once we got him cleaned up and got the bleeding stopped we realized that he had indeed scraped the top of the inside of his lip, but all the blood was coming from biting through the side of his tongue (dont worry no major damage and all the peices are their, tongues heal fast, it looks much better tonight even), he also had both knees skinned up and bleeding, and scraped his nose and his upper lip. After we got all that cleaned up we also realized that we had overlooked the fact that he had bonked his forehead too (it wasnt bleeding so we hadnt noticed it)so he is going to have a nice bruise in the morning. Poor guy!
The moral of the story: Keep your arms out of your sleeves when you run laps or you will end up looking like this : )

(Isnt that the most pitiful face you ever saw, and just in time for birthday pics too, this will be a year to never forget...lol)
